Honda Pilot has a reputation for exceptional reliability. This used SUV consistently receives rave reviews from owners, and retains its resale value. Its most remarkable innovation is a VCM (Variable Cylinder Management) system which can automatically alternate the 3.5-liter V-6 engine between 6- and 3-cylinder modes for improved fuel efficiency.

Car and Driver editors named the Pilot best mainstream SUV three years in a row. The Pilot is based on the more luxurious Acura MDX, but is larger and less expensive. Both the Pilot and the Acura are based on the very successful Honda Odyssey minivan platform. The Pilot can seat up to eight people with its important third-row seating and has lots of cargo room in a relatively compact space.

The Honda Pilot handles well on the road and is reasonably capable off-road. It is quick for its size, able to reach 60 miles-per-hour in about 7.9 seconds. The second and third rows are split 60/40 and can be folded flat to achieve a 90.3 cubic feet
of cargo space when the seats are folded. The Pilot is a very well designed vehicle and dependable SUV.
